Yeah, those gloves have the taint of evil upon them.

It’d be a hard choice for me. On one hand, my mother’s side of the family lived near Grand Rapids for many years, and I have fond memories of the place. And I’ve always had a soft spot for bird teams (even mythical) in any sport.

On the other… well, you know.

I would tell you about the Motel 6 I stayed at in Kansas City, but I will spare you the details. I do believe most of the bugs had started their night outside the hotel room, but eventually made their way in.

It was awful. They were watching the play go by, back on their heels most of the game. It was like they were coached to bear witness to the game, rather than play it.

Have you ever heard of Ill Repute? They were a hardcore band from Oxnard (leading to the term “Nardcore”) that had a pre-Love and Rockets Jaime Hernandez doing their album covers.

They came up on my iPod about 10 minutes ago, so this is now two more Oxnard connections than normally appear on any given day in my life.
