Paul Kukla has post-game interview video of Zav Bogosian. Zac sounds a lot less excited about the night and the game than I do. I guess that is what you do in front of the media. I hope he understands how much the people there appreciated his game.

I’m back at the hotel. Up early to drive to San Jose for the game tomorrow night. Swag report will get done when I get there, with an extra special piece of swag from the Kings game. Pics and game report are here:

I’m in the VIP area of the afterparty, and I have no idea why. I mean, I got the VIP pack, so I’m allowed, but this is not where I should be. I’m moving downstairs for a bit. We will see. People keep speaking Armenian to me, and I don’t understand a word. It’s hysterical.

Even though Zac Bogosian did not get a star in the game, it was a crazy finish with a shootout capping off an exciting overtime period. The party is next, but I am staying for a little bit of the amateur hockey. It is a hockey road trip, after all. Pics should be up in the morning.

The Thrashers forgot they aren’t playing the Ducks tonight, and jump out to a 3-0 lead early.

I’m checked back in to the same hotel I was in for the first Kimgs game, and not only was the price higher, the room is smaller. That is a bonus on he scale of the NHL. Less equals more.

A very busy day for me today. Two posts are already up, the Ducks report and the Swag report from the last two games. I have plenty to do today, from recording the podcast (www.rinkpodcast.com) to the Armenian Heritage Night game tonight.

I’m glad I wasn’t trying to go to the LA Kings game today before the Ontario Reign game. I needed the sleep. I met a guy who works for the Reign last night at dinner. He was as passionate about the game as anyone. A good reminder that hockey belongs wherever the fans are.

The first zamboni offered a few surprises, and the ice at the Iceland was actually pretty good. But what do you expect from a rink owned by the Zamboni family? Pictures of the two beasts will go up later tonight.

Go to Hockey Monkey for a new helmet with cage, shoulder pads, and skate sharpening.
Skate at Paramount Iceland with the first Zamboni.
Buy my Ontario Reign ticket.
